Andrea has loved cooking for as long as she can remember. As a child, she used to watch cooking shows with her mom, Carole, and they would attempt to make the recipes that they learned together. Unfortunately, Carole passed away when Andrea was 5 years old, but that didn’t stop her love for food.
Although Andrea received her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 2013, she has always been a foodie; and being raised by a Jamaican father, she is no stranger to bold and spicy flavors. After working in journalism/public relations for a few years, Andrea decided to follow her real passion of food, and in 2016 she graduated top of her class from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Los Angeles.
Andrea has worked in some of the best restaurants in the world, including the acclaimed Nobu Malibu, and she traveled to France (in 2018) to stage in 3 different Michelin star restaurants. She has even worked along side multiple celebrity chefs including Aarón Sanchez and Aarti Sequeira.
Currently, Andrea is a flight attendant for a major US airline, and she uses her travel experience to elevate her dishes and recipes. With Carole’s Cuisine, Andrea hopes to combine all 3 of her passions: food, travel, & journalism, to create a platform where foodies can learn about cuisines from all over the world. Andrea hopes to inspire people to want to learn more about cultures that are different from their own, because after all, food brings people together.
